观看此片前，先阅读了《上帝粒子》一书，有了些初步了解。不过受限于自己的智商有限，理解起来还是感觉有些费劲的。
对于一个科学纪录片本身来说，片子制作精良，个人认为比《cosmos》要做的好。片子结尾的一段很感人，为什么我们需要科学？为什么我们需要艺术？这些看起来与我们毫无关系的事，却恰恰定义了我们作为人类的意义。忘记在哪里看到的新闻，NASA想从税收里多使用0.5%用于航空航天事业，但是马上就会有许多人跳出来反对，那么多钱够买多少粮食了，够养活多少吃不饱的人了。现在早已不是美苏航天竞赛的时代了，绝大部分人都认为过好自己的生活，比是否多了解些宇宙要重要的多。只是他们不明白，人类现在使用的所有能源、工具、物料等都是来源于在这条路上一直探索的科学家。
